“Our wedding was amazing and reached way above our expectations. The setting was absolutely perfect and the staff were so helpful that we couldn’t have asked for more. We would like to thank Laguna Chapel for all their help and kindness on our very special day. In enjoying the location so much, we will definitely be returning!”

We married at the Chapel in April 2007. From our initial enquiries to the Wedding day and beyond we received more than we could have imagined.
We chose the Chapel at Laguna Phuket initially for its beautiful location. From our first email contact we felt confident in the ability of Cindy (Wedding services manager) and knew we had made the right choice.
The whole team and in particular Cindy, were helpful and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble, despite us changing our minds and asking for a lot of information. Their professionalism was exceptional. They paid great attention to every detail ensuring that everything was exactly as we wanted. This included advising us on a range of possibilities in order to make sure we were happy with our choices .
Our emails were promptly responded to and our questions always answered.
When we arrived in Phuket we were able to meet the whole team. We did not feel we were dealt with by a business but looked after by friends and this is what made it so special.
We really felt we were the only ones getting married despite it being a busy time and the treatment we received was second to none, they really give you the personal touch.
The wedding day itself was beautiful and more than we ever expected it to be. Everything was carefully organised down to the tiniest detail. Our guests were well cared for and came away with as many happy memories as ourselves.
We could not fault any one thing, from the fresh flowers to the champagne on the lawn it was perfect.
We had our meal at the Dusit, Ruen Thai restaurant. Our guests were taken by boat and then we followed. The meal was spectacular and again the location was beautiful being set on the lagoon.
We were truly sorry when we had to say goodbye to the team who had looked after us so well and we only wish we could do it all again!
This place is amazing!

Ok we decided on taking the plunge but having a Japanese fiancé, family and friends from Aust, UK, NZ, Japan, HK, Korea and Singapore coming to the wedding we decided on having a tropical paradise wedding. We’re both very well travelled and decided the best place to have all of our guests to meet was a relaxing environment with great food and people (Thailand).
Our first choice on the reception was Koh Samet Island but found it extremely hard to deal with the hotel staff trying to arrange everything (I’m a groomzilla) so I searched the net for another spot. After several weeks and a lot of investigation I narrowed it down to one centre (Laguna Phuket), and after a few emails with Cindy Chan, Yumiko & I flew over for the weekend to have a look around.
The photo’s do not do it justice, the chapel is one of the best I’ve seen and it’s kept like new. Cindy helped us with our reception arrangements at the Dusit Hotel and introduced me to the management at the Dusit Hotel who were more than helpful.
I arrived a few days prior to the wedding with some guests to make sure everything was under control, within a few minutes of speaking to Cindy and the Dusit Hotel management I was more than happy with the final arrangements. On the big day it rained in the morning but Cindy had it under control with cars organised so no need for me to worry about. The entire wedding went extremely well with only a few issues that did not cause any problems for Cindy & her team to fix. The reception was held in the Casurina restaurant at the Dusit Hotel, to say the food was great is an understatement.
The quantity of food looked like I had 80 + guests but in reality I had 32 so the food looked like it had not been touched after we’d finished.
If you have anything go wrong the team are up for the job, on the morning of the wedding my future father inlaw had a very swollen jaw so they whisked him off to the dentist and had him back with plenty of time to spare. All of the panic that I’ve seen at friends weddings disappeared during my wedding and the deciding factor was Cindy Chan and her team. If you’re looking for a great wedding that not only looks good, feels great and does not make you take out a second mortgage talk to Cindy & her team.

Destination Thailand ... Having a destination wedding is the closest you will ever come to a ‘stress free’ wedding, and was the best decision I ever made! My brief was for something elegant, something exotic and ... something quick! From start to finish our wedding was organised in just seven weeks. Coordinating a wedding in a foreign country over the internet can be daunting but the team at Chapel-on-the-Lagoon/Laguna Phuket Weddings were quick to allay my fears with their personable and professional service.
The pricing was very reasonable and far cheaper than anything we could have afforded at home in Australia. And for us in particular, having a destination wedding meant ‘more bang for our buck’, as we got a wedding, family holiday and honeymoon all rolled into one.
Our wedding was an intimate affair with only four guests, but the efficient wedding staff (makeup artists, photographers, attendants and English-speaking celebrant) made the day feel festive and fun. Everything ran smoothly – the music, ferry ride, cutting of the cake, planting of our love tree, reception dinner at the resort and transport by tuk tuk. In fact, the only thing we could complain about was the weather.
We were married in the middle of a tropical storm however, safe and dry inside the chapel, the dramatic downpour and stormy skies made it all very romantic! The rain was quick to clear and instead of it being a negative, the photographers and Chapel-on-the-Lagoon team turned it into a positive, giving the bride and groom and our guests enormous white umbrellas, which became fabulous props for our photos!
All our friends and family have complimented us on the beautiful Lagoon location. It truly was a memorable day – and all this is thanks to you! We’ll definitely be back to visit the Chapel-on-the-Lagoon and check on the growth of our love tree. And we will be bringing our ‘honeymoon baby’ back with us. We are expecting our first child in July 2008.
